Exploring faith

Throughout the year we run courses for those wanting to know more about the Christian faith and what it means to follow Jesus. There's always tea, coffee and cake, and a welcoming environment where you can feel free to ask questions and share what you think.

In November and December we have several evening events helping you to think through how faith in God connects with all of life. Each evening will take place in the church hall at 7.30pm.

Why can we trust the Bible? - 6th November
Many people today have rejected the Bible as out of date, discredited or irrelevant, without ever even reading it. Why do Christians have confidence in its contents and what evidence can we produce to encourage others to begin the adventure of discovering its riches? This is a huge subject, but we will try to put some basic building blocks in place to strengthen our faith in Scripture and stimulate our witness to its author.

Art and the Gospel - 27th November
Artist Paul Hobbs will be speaking about his art and sculptures, with plenty of discussion throughout. It is a free event and is open to all to explore the gospel through his thought-provoking pieces.

Hymns We Love (Christmas session) - 4th December
Back in the summer we explored popular hymns and the stories behind the songs. In December we have a special Christmas edition, looking at the much loved carol Hark the Herald Angels Sing.

Getting Connected

Small Groups

While Sundays are a great way to meet new people, it is often in smaller gatherings that you can really get to know someone. We have a variety of groups that meet throughout the week, some afternoons and some evenings. Check out the Small Groups page to find out more.

Serving and Volunteering

One of the best ways to feel part of the church family is to become involved through service. We believe that every Christian has God given gifts that are to be used for the common good. If you want to get to serve on a team, click here to find out more.
